The torch will travel by horse-drawn carriage, a two-seater buggy in Cavendish, replicating the ride taken by Anne (of Green Gables) and Matthew Cuthbert when Anne arrived from Bright River Train Station after being mistakenly adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, as depicted in the classic Canadian novel Anne of Green Gables.

The torchbearer will sit with Anne for this photo opportunity and for the duration of the horse-drawn carriage ride. Cassie Campbell-Pascal will be the torchbearer for this segment of the relay.

Former captain of Team Canada's Women's Hockey team, Campbell-Pascal is the winner of two Olympic Gold medals and an Olympic Silver medal. She is a direct descendent of Lucy Maude Montgomery, author of Anne of Green Gables.
