AVC 5K Fun Run - One Health Challenge


It was cloudy and windy and 9 degrees.

The AVC 5km Fun Run at Victoria Park. The 5km loop course on Old Charlottetown and Victoria Park.

David Gallant won the race and Kara Grant for the top female. I finished in 21:45 and came in 6th out of 44 runners.

I wore a ninja this Halloween. There were dogs in costumes and even two cats.

Next Saturday The Wally Rodd Race returns at Charlottetown Hotel.

Good Luck Islanders at the New York City Marathon tomorrow.

AVC Rabies Run - 1st Place

It was sunny and 10 degrees.

The AVC Rabies Run at Brackley Beach Complex.

The out and back course on Gulf Shore Parkway towards Covehead.

I won the race and time of 21:09 with 25 runners and walkers.

Athena Doyle for the top female and Wade Sweet's dog Piper for top dog.

I ran the long run back to home after the race.

Tomorrow I run the Run For The Cure at Charlottetown Waterfront. Thank you all for your donations!

This weekend's Race & Run - The AVC Rabies Run & The Run for the Cure

AVC Rabies 5K Fun Run

Starting Time: 10:00 a.m.
Registration: 9:00 a.m. at the Brackley Beach complex
Fee: $10.00
Fundraiser: In support of Vets without Borders annual Rabies Campaign to increase awareness about the global rabies issue and to raise funds for their international rabies prevention programs.

Course Description: Out and back course on Gulf Shore Parkway in the National Park.
Special Instruction or Notice: Run, jog, walk...whatever is comfortable, and please invite your friends (both with and without fur)! Come and show your support for this worthy cause! Dogs are invited and encouraged to attend and run, (on a leash please).
