That said, I'm going to give my opinions. LOL. Since we olive skinned folks have yellow and even green tones in our skin, to varying degrees, and can often be ashy, and not glowy, my opinion is stay away from reds with too much yellow or orange in them. Also stick to richer darker tones. Too light can make us look sallow. I dunno about you other olive skinned people, but I can look very sallow even freshly scrubbed with a fresh warm tan.
Some examples of bad choices for olive skin (in my opinion):
I stick to deeper reds, with a lot of blue. Jellies and glitters, or strong shimmers add light to the hands. It gives a burst of glow to you. Try to stay away from anything with a chalky white tone in it, as it may wash you out. Rich tones and vibrant pigment rich polishes is the key, IMO. You might want to guard against too much pink, which can make you seem paler (unless you want to look paler).
Some red polishes I like:
I don't think any skin tone or shade can go wrong with BB Couture Fairy Blood or China Glaze Ruby Pumps, to be honest. Kelliegonzo, I have a new bottle of OPI I'm Not Really a Waitress for you, for inspiring my post! Just email me at polishmayhem@gmail.com and I'll send it to you!!
